Boeing expects 747-8i orders at Farborough Airshow

Since Lufthansa commenced revenue services with the new 747-8i the airliner has gained renewed interest from a number of carriers. Boeing expects to announce possible orders or letters of intent at Farnborough Airshow.

“There are some very, very active campaigns right now. We expect a series of orders for the next few months and over the next year from all parts of the globe.” said Pat Shanahan, general manager at Boeing commercial planes.

Turkish Airlines is widely being tipped as the next major customer with an order for up to 15 747-8i.
