Emirates will add Mexico City to its network according to reports from Mexican media. The UAE carrier plans to add daily service from Dubai to Mexico City via Barcelona El Prat Airport. It will have full traffic rights between Barcelona and Mexico City. The last time non-stop services was offered between these two cities was in 2012 with Aeromexico which suspended the service.

Cathay Pacific has now made their service year round rather than seasonal.

The carrier’s Latin American network consists of daily services from Dubai to Rio de Janeiro–Galeão, São Paulo/Guarulhos, Buenos Aires-Ezeiza and from 05 uly 2018, Santiago de Chile. Details of the aircraft type, timings and launch date for Emirates’ new Mexico City have not been released at this time.
