Etihad Airways has officially announced it will commence flights to Perth. The carrier will operate daily flights Abu Dhabi to Perth from 15 July 2014 using 2 class A330-200. All flights will be operated in collaboration and code-share with Virgin Australia. Etihad already serves Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

The carrier’s CEO Mr James Hogan states “The new services will build the first ever commercial air bridge between Perth and Abu Dhabi and will cater to the growing demand for travel between these two points and beyond to Africa, the Middle East and Europe.”

The new flights will connect with Etihad’s services to Europe from the Abu Dhabi hub.
