Jetstar announces Melbourne to Zhengzhou flights

Jetstar Australia (JQ) has announced it will add flights from Melbourne Tullamarine (MEL) to Zhengzhou-Xinzheng (CGO). The QANTAS Group subsidiary airline will use two-class configured Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft. The non-stop service is schedule to operate twice weekly from December 2017 is subject to regulatory approval. The flights are operated in collaboration with tour operator, China Comfort Travel. The tour operator will offer combined flight/ground packages for the inbound China-Australia market.

Jetstar Group CEO Ms Jayne Hrdlicka states “China is an incredibly important market for us and will continue to grow. Jetstar started flying to China just eight years ago, and we now operate 68 flights per week across Asia to 20 destinations in China.”

This is the second time Jetstar Australia (JQ) has offered non-stop Boeing  787 services from Australia to China. The low cost carrier previously offered flights from the Gold Coast to Wuhan in collaboration with the Chinese company Wanda Group.

The new China services will be available for sale soon directly from the Jetstar website and also through other distribution channels such as travel agents.
