Singapore Airlines introduces new First And Business product

Singapore Airlines has announced it will introduce brand new First and Business Class cabins as well as enhanced Economy cabins with the delivery of its new Boeing 777-300ERs from the second half of 2013. These new cabins will also feature on the new 787s and Airbus A350s. Singapore Airlines is evaluating the possibility of retrofitting some its existing fleet with these new cabins.

The airlines has commissioned BMW Group subsidiary DesignworksUSA and James Park Associates (JPA) Singapore to design the new cabins.

“Relatively speaking, Singapore Airlines is losing its competitive edge in premium Asia travel not because it’s a bad airline, but because the others — like Emirates — are becoming so good,” said Jonathan Galaviz, managing director of Galaviz & Co which follows the global airline and tourism sector.
