United orders 150 Boeing 737s

United Airlines has ordered 150 Boeing 737s including 100 of the new 737 MAX-9 and 50 737-900ER. The order which is worth US$15billon was announced at the Faranborough Airshow 2012.

“These airplanes that we’re ordering today are not only more fuel efficient, but they’re operationally more reliable,” United’s President and Chief Executive Officer Jeff Smisek said. “They’re environmentally more responsible, and they’re very customer pleasing.”
